October Favourites!

Hi Lovelies!
Firs of all I want to apologize for the lack of posts, I have been really busy with Uni work and I haven't had any free time. I love blogging so hopefully now I am getting into the swing of my new routine I will find time to do what I enjoy.

So here are my October favourites ...

1. Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon - 04 Peach on The Beach
I have been loving this lip crayon this month, it's a lovely pinky colour and is perfect for a daytime look. It claims to last for 10 hours, I don't think I agree with that claim, but it does last a good while before you need to re-apply, and it I find it really moisturizing which is great as I have had really dry lips.

2. Maybelline Go Colossal Go Extreme Mascara - Leather Black
I am in love with this mascara! I think I like it more than Rimmel's Lash Accelerator - now that's saying something :') The brush is pretty big so it really covers each lash, but it doesn't clump and it's really long lasting.

3. Avon Ideal Luminous Blush - Russet
This blush from Avon is something I have been wearing everyday in October. Russet is a warmer pink/red shade which I think is a perfect autumnal colour. You only have to use a small amount as it is really pigmented.

4. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
After reading so many good reviews I decided to by this micellar cleansing water and I have been really impressed. It removes makeup well and leaves your skin feeling nice and refreshed. It's great as well for when you're feeling lazy and can't be bothered going through a full skin care routine :')

I usually include a song of the month at the end of my faves post, but today as I haven't posted in a while I thought I would make it up to you guys by creating an October playlist. It contains songs I have enjoyed listening to this month, some new songs, some old songs, and a few of my all time favourites, so I hope you enjoy it :)

Let me know in the comments what you guys have been loving this month, and what you have been listening to!

New Montagne Jeunnesse Mask Review

Hello Lovelies!
Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been super busy with starting uni and getting used to my new routine. So for today's post I thought I would ease back into things with a quick review of the new Montagne Jeunnesse Dragon Fruit Sauna Mask.

I am a face mask lover for sure, and I especially love the Montagne Jeunnesse masks. They are super affordable and a great way to relax and pamper yourself. My all time faves are Blemish Mud and Passion Peel Off, so I was excited to try out one from their new range.

I picked up Dragon Fruit Sauna at Wilko's and they haven't let me down! The mask smells so fresh and delicious, I wouldn't eat it though, I got some on my lips and I don't know why but I licked them and it didn't taste so good :') The heating aspect was nice too, it was very relaxing and really opened up the pores to get rid of any oil and dirt, so my face was left feeling extra clean.

Overall this is another great mask from Montagne Jeunnesse, and for £1 each they are a real bargain.

Thanks for reading guys. Be sure to let me know what your favourite face mask is in the comments and maybe tweet me a selfie of you wearing a face mask @SherbetLemons96 :)

The Inbetweeners 2, A Miracle and 100 Followers | My Week #1

Hello Lovelies!
Today I thought I would try a new style of post, I'm going to be talking through some of the things I got up to during the week. So I hope you enjoy!

So this week I went to the Cinema to see The Inbetweeners 2. For those of you who might not be familiar, The Inbetweeners is a British sitcom which follows the lives of 4 teenagers, it ran for 3 seasons and in 2011 the first movie was released. So we have all been waiting a long time for the sequel. This time we saw the lads travelling around Australia, and as usual they were getting themselves into trouble and treating us to classic inbetweeners banter. I really did enjoy the movie, a few people said it wasn't as funny as the first one, but I thought it was better - I was literally crying with laughter. It was much ruder though, so I guess if you are squimish or easily offended The Inbetweeners isn't something you would enjoy. I hope this isn't the end like it has been suggested, let's hope we will get a 3rd movie or another series? If you have seen the movie let me know what you thought in the comments!

This week I found 2 miracle products in The Body Shop, and I couldn't wait to share it with you guys! I picked up the Tea Tree Facial Wash (£5.00) and the Tea Tree Blemish Gel (£6.00) as I had a pretty bad break out on my chin. All of the gels and creams I have used in the past have never really done anything, so I wasn't holding out much hope with these products, but I was very surprised. I have been using the face wash and gel for about 5 days now and my spots have practically disappeared, so I would recommend these 2 products for sure!

This week I also came across a great band on YouTube, their name is Little Sea and I have fallen in love with their EP 'Wake the Sun' - it's been on repeat all week. If you like pop/rocky music you will love them so check them out here!

This week I was also nominated for another Liebster Award, so you can read that post here. This is my 3rd Liebster award and it really means a lot, so a big thank you to Rebecca! I would love it if you could go on over to the blogs I nominated and give them a follow, they are all great and I would love it if you could support them too!

Finally, earlier on today I hit 100 followers! I guess to some people 100 followers doesn't seem a lot :') But to me that's huge, I think there was 100 people in my year at school! I never thought 100 people would be interested in and follow my blog. So thank you everyone, it really means a lot! I hope you all continue to enjoy reading my blog ...

July Favourites

Hey lovelies!
How fast has July gone?! I cant believe we are into August already, though looking out of the window here in England you wouldn't believe it, it's just gloomy and rainy :') Here are my July faves ...

Sleek Blush, Life's a Peach -  I am in love with this colour. It is a sleek blush I have always wanted to try but I thought it might not suit me, but I love it! It gives such a lovely glow and is perfect for a summer makeup look.
Essence XXXL Shine Lipgloss, shade 25 bright side of life -  As you all know I have been loving the new Essence stand in my local Wilko's and on my last visit I fell in love with the shade of this lipgloss, I have been wearing it non-stop. It has a little bit of gold glitter in it, but its not too sparkly so is a perfect shimmery daytime lipgloss. I love the fact its not sticky and it's really longlasting too.
Rimmel Lash Accelerator endless fibres mascara -  You guys know I have very short eye lashes and I am always on the look out for my perfect mascara. I always feel let down, brands claim they are going to make your lashes really long and I buy the product and see little difference. But I was surprised by this Rimmel mascara. It lengthens, fills out my lashes and lasts all day. It also claims to make your lashes naturally longer after 30 days, so I will let you guys know if that statement is true.

St. Ives apricot scrub for oily/blemish prone skin -  I have been having a real battle with my oily skin this month, with the heat it has been a real pain. But I have enjoyed using this scrub, it really gets rid of oil and any dirt and leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh.

Album - 5 Seconds of Summer -  I always include an album/song of the month, and for July it has to be the 5 Seconds of Summer album. It has been on in my car all month, if you haven't already had a listen and you like rocky/pop you will love this album. I think my favourite song off the album is 'Long Way Home', if you have the album let me know what your favourite song is in the comments!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I hope you all have a happy August! (let me know in the comments what you are going to be up to)

Review : Garnier Moisture Match Shine Be Gone Mattifying Fresh Cream

Hello Lovelies!
Having super oily skin can be a pain when it comes to moisturizing, and if I am being honest it turned into a stage I missed out of my routine. But here in England over the past few weeks we have had hot, sunny weather so I knew I needed to moisturise my face after it had been exposed to the sun all day. With that I went on the hunt for a moisturiser aimed at oily skin.

I bought Garnier Moisture Match Shine Be Gone Mattifying Fresh Cream (that's a long name) whilst it was on sale in Asda for £2 (it is now back to the full price of £5.99), and it's aimed at combination to oily skin. It definitely mattifies the skin, which I was really pleased about so my skin isn't shiny on those make up free days. Further to this Garnier claim "Shine be gone is enriched with Mannose, known for its hydrating properties, and reinforces the skin's barrier function, helping your skin to maintain its level of hydration for 24hrs". Being able to moisturise my oily skin without the grease and the shine is just fab! This product is something I would buy again, even at full price.

I also love the fact that Garnier have created a moisturiser for every skin type,  so you can find your perfect match.

  • Protect and Glow - normal skin
  • Start Afresh - normal/dry skin
  • Goodbye Dry - dry/very dry skin
  • Wake Me Up - dull skin
  • Shine Be Gone - combination/oily skin

I hope you guys enjoyed this review, and that I have helped if you have been looking for your perfect moisturiser.

Empties #1

Hello lovelies!
This is the first time I have done an empties post, but I have been keeping my used up products to one side and today I am going to go through them with you.

Maybelline The Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara - So I had never tried this mascara, and after reading so many reviews I thought I would give it a try. I have really short lashes and this mascara did make them appear longer, but I found it clumped them together and was really difficult to remove. I wasn't keen on the shape of the wand either as I ended up with mascara on my eye lid. Overall I wasn't completely sold by the product.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - I really liked this foundation. It gave a good coverage and the shade '100 ivory' was a perfect match for my skin tone. I thought the packaging was nice too.

Clearasil Daily Clear Skin Perfecting Wash - I enjoyed using this face wash and would certainly purchase it again. The microbeads gently exfoliated without being too harsh on the skin, and the product smelt really fresh, and left my skin soft and cleansed.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer - I was really impressed by the Healthy Mix foundation, and I was impressed by this concealer too. It definitely brightened my under eye area and covered blemishes well.

I hope you enjoyed this post guys, if you have used any of these products let me know your opinions in the comments. Also I just want to thank you guys for continuing to read my blog, it makes me really happy! :)

March Favourites

Hello Lovelies

cant believe march is over already, this year is going so fast!

So firstly for my beauty favourites of the month I have ...

1. MUA Shimmer Highlighter
You can read the review I did on this highlighter here, after months of searching I finally got my hands on this product. It is definitely part of my everyday look now because it is not too much and just makes your skin look glowy and fresh.

2. NYX The Runway Collection Eyeshadow Palette : Super Model
I recently got this palette in the NYX sale for about £5.00 and I am really enjoying using these silvery colours, again it is something that has become an everyday use for me in march.

Now for my skin related products I have ...

1. Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Cleansing Lotion
Again you will have seen this product in the review I did at the beginning of the month. I still love this cleanser, it is perfect for my skin, it removes my makeup well and doesn't irritate it.

2. Garnier Start Afresh Refreshing Toner
After loving the Garnier cleansing lotion, I decided to part from my trusty Simple toner and give something else a chance. I bought the Garnier toner and I am glad I did! It leaves my skin feeling fresh  and clears away an last traces of makeup perfectly.

3. The Body Shop Mango Shower Gel
This shower gel smells amazing :) I have tried other body shop shower gels but this one has definitely become my favourite.

For fragrance I have ...

1. Armani Diamonds Rose
This has been my favourite perfume this march. It has a fruity scent, with raspberries and blackcurrant. I love the bottle too, it looks beautiful on my shelf.

My songs of march are ...

1. She Looks So Perfect : 5 Seconds Of Summer
Having been a fan of 5sos for like 2 years now, seeing them release their first official single has been surreal really. I feel like a mother watching her child go off on their first day of school :') I love this song so much, it's the perfect introduction to the 5sos sound for those who haven't heard of them before. So if you've not already watch the video here

2. Last Night : The Vamps
As all you guys probably know I am a huge fan of The Vamps, they released their video for Last Night at the end of February, and I cant stop listening to this song, I just know it's going to be on repeat through out spring. You can pre-order the single now, and be sure to check out the video here.

Thanks for all of your love over the past month, I really didn't think people would bother to read my blog but it means the world that you do and your comments always make me smile :)

Best Wishes....

Review: Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Cleansing Lotion

Hello Lovelies!
A couple of weeks ago I purchased this Garnier cleansing lotion, I have used quite a few in the past from different brands, but this has to be my favourite of them all.

Garnier claims : "Enriched with water lily extract known for it's soothing properties, it's formula with no perfume, no alcohol and no colourants, perfectly removes make-up without leaving your skin feeling dry".

.. and it really does work, my skin is left clean and fresh, it easily removes eye makeup and it doesn't sting. I use about 3 pads soaked in this lotion to clean my skin and the lid on this bottle means just enough comes out, so there is no wastage.

Overall I am really impressed by this product, and for just £2.98 it's definitely won a place in my daily skin routine.

Have you tried this cleanser, if not which is your favourite? Let me know in the comments :)
